Popular ways to make Planned Gifts

Create a Named Endowment

You can establish a permanent named fund to support programming, the historic Village, a favorite exhibit, or the Research Library. Start a conversation with us today about a named endowed fund to ensure FCHM’s future.

Named endowment gifts are permanently invested along with the general FCHM endowment assets, but are dedicated to specific purposes directed by you. A portion of the fund’s value (currently 5%) is distributed each year for the purposes you’ve designated. Your initial gift remains invested with the objectives of preserving the principal and growing both the fund and distributions in perpetuity.

You can create a named endowed fund that reflects your FCHM interests and passions with a commitment of $100,000 or more through lifetime or estate gifts. The endowed fund can reflect the name of the donor or someone the donor wishes to honor or memorialize.

Make a gift that pays you back

A Charitable Gift Annuity provides you with a fixed income for the rest of your life at rates ranging from about 4% to 9%, depending on your age.

Charitable gift annuities are one of the most popular planned gift options, and are offered by FCHM. They provide donors with a safe fixed income for their lifetimes, as well as significant tax benefits.
